kruleworld Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 excellent builds there. all we need now is a 73 ford galaxy to go with S&H (hutch's car).
slusher Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Super great builds Al. Excellent work on both..
Crusader101 Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Both are beauts and display perfectly together. That stock build on ebay that someone mentioned previously is now at $445 with 4 days left in the auction.
charlie8575 Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 I really like the more run-of-the-mill execution.Perhaps the later Torinos weren't the deftly-styled '72, but they weren't that bad-looking, either. Very nice job on this, Al.Charlie Larkin
Bob Ellis Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 They look great. Same S&H kit?I don't know why, but after 1973, the rear quarter windows were fixed (non-functional) like you have on the red car. Ford even went cheap on the Mercury Grand Marquis Brougham.
realgone58 Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 Super cool builds Al! I love the silver one. I think I'm going a similar route when I build this kit.
Jeremy Jon Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Great work Al, those both look fantastic, nice work!!
Tom Geiger Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 I don't know why, but after 1973, the rear quarter windows were fixed (non-functional) like you have on the red car. I don't know why they did it in '73, but later on the automakers claimed they were saving the weight of the mechanisms. Cars like the 1978 Malibu 4 door sedans and wagons had non-functional side glass on the back doors. That turned off a lot of buyers. In that era I used to sell cars for people and a guy I worked with had a two year old Malibu wagon for me to sell. I remember a couple of people declining to buy it because of those windows.
Mike 1017 Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Dad's car is the one I like the most. Both are very nice.
