Nice work Al!   Hope to see them on Saturday!  Fried chicken?

Thanks guys. These where fun to do. Tom, They'll be there and I love the chicken.

I really like the more run-of-the-mill execution.

Perhaps the later Torinos weren't the deftly-styled '72, but they weren't that bad-looking, either.

Very nice job on this, Al.

They look great. Same S&H kit?

I don't know why, but after 1973, the rear quarter windows were fixed (non-functional) like you have on the red car. Ford even went cheap on the Mercury Grand Marquis Brougham.

I don't know why they did it in '73, but later on the automakers claimed they were saving the weight of the mechanisms.  Cars like the 1978 Malibu 4 door sedans and wagons had non-functional side glass on the back doors.  That turned off a lot of buyers.  In that era I used to sell cars for people and a guy I worked with had a two year old Malibu wagon for me to sell.  I remember a couple of people declining to buy it because of those windows.
