Nick F40 Posted July 22, 2008 Author Posted July 22, 2008 Dangit, I was actually thinking Studebaker!!! alright, model year and engine palease!
Draggon Posted July 22, 2008 Posted July 22, 2008 I knew it was a "special six" because of the 6 lugnuts. Not to be confused with the prior year, 1921, whuch featured the "Special Five" with 5 lugnuts. Due to wheel failure, they increased the number of lugs, hence the new name "six"................................................................ just kidding, guys. LOL

Guest zebm1 Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Yeah Right Cal....and just how many Hot Rods, Rat Rods, etc., etc. would be Ticket Targets, eh Cal?
CAL Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 Yeah Right Cal....and just how many Hot Rods, Rat Rods, etc., etc. would be Ticket Targets, eh Cal? I donno. However, NHRA street legal class fenders are mandatory. SCCA street legal class fenders are mandatory. In Iowa New Hampshire Ohio Montana at I know for sure there is specific laws on fender requirements. In other states its illegal to remove fenders. And I am sure there was some Federal Law require the Prowler to have fenders. So I don't see why you think that is so far from unreasonable.

dub Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 If it's a hot rod, then fender laws are not the same as the rest of the cars on the road. Each state has different laws, but most do not require them on pre-49 cars.
Draggon Posted July 24, 2008 Posted July 24, 2008 As I remeber it, in CA it used to be OK if the vehicle weighed under 1700 lbs AND was pre- 1970 something. Now as for thiis car, I cant figure it out. Seems to me I may have seen something like it in a mag. Possibly someone taking a race car chassis and puttng it on the street.
