Done.

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The kit I started with was a real turd.

I ended up wearing some of the Alclad off the front bumper fitting it for the last time, but other than in the pics, it's not really noticeable.

Comments welcome. :)

Very nice! I love the color, and your workmanship is outstanding!

What are the wheels? They look similar to what Spencer was looking for the other day.

I love this little pickup!  I especially like the tail light design,  much cooler than the expected standard Beetle lights on the rear fenders.

I have a suggestion... for that front bumper.  It sticks out far enough to be easy to mask off.  I'd wrap the entire body in cling wrap, then tape off close to the bumper.  It should be easy to get another coat or two of Alclad onto it, especially if you are air brushing.

Tom, that's kinda what i was thinking, or maybe since I've epoxied the brackets to the body, popping the bumper off the brackets and just completely re-doing it.

This was my first try with Alclad and I think I can do better. In the spring, when my "booth" warms up. :)

Maybe the best execution of the beetle pickup concept I've seen.

i agree! it looks perfect! i like the smooth cabin. really, really nice work.

One question: whats about the engine? is it on the rear or "planed" in the front?
