IceMan Collections Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Can someone help identify this body?
oldnslow Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) Looks like it fits over a short dragster chassis.http://www.speedhunters.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/California-Hot-Rod-Reunion-2015-88-copy.jpghttp://www.speedhunters.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/California-Hot-Rod-Reunion-2015-91-copy-1200x800.jpg Edited November 1, 2015 by oldnslow
Tom Geiger Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 That is definitely the "Fuel Cuda" but there was no kit of that car specifically. Could this body be resin?? It's not the Hemi Under Glass because the grille and rear bumper were separate pieces in that kit. And the rear wheel wells are stock Barracuda, and they were hogged out in the HUG release. And I've never seen any body with the dragster seat cut out in the trunk lid.
keyser Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Has to be resin, front wheel wells moved forward too. Looks like nice casting.
1930fordpickup Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) Early Barracuda altered . looks to be this car . Cut out in the back for the driver not the engine that I thought it was. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=barracuda+drag+cars&view=detailv2&&id=E0F0ABC8E6264860606A2A2991613C9F25195C8D&selectedIndex=105&ccid=mWIhHKN5&simid=608023728993403342&thid=OIP.M9962211ca379f9d4a8b1151b0b27a34bo0&ajaxhist=0 Edited November 1, 2015 by 1930fordpickup
Jon Haigwood Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) All I can tell you is that its a 66. Did find one on a google image search listed as being made by Mad Dog resin. Couldn't find anything other than that. Edited November 1, 2015 by Jon Haigwood
IceMan Collections Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 You're right guys. It is in fact resin. I found a few similar bodies this morning. 65/66 cuss but none have the round cutout in the rear. This one was cast that way. I think I'm getting closer...
John Pol Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 afx resin did this body when he was in business

IceMan Collections Posted November 1, 2015 Author Posted November 1, 2015 Did you look at either linc posted? I had already seen those pics after Robert and Toms posts - thanks. Like Tom said, it is indeed the Fuel Cuda. John has to be right on it being an older AFX body. Thanks guys
