Pavel A. Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Hello guys, I am back again. Now with the build of KW W900 in edition of 25th anniversary. I started with shortening the hood and chice of new engine. There is original Cummins NTC 400 in this KW. The problem is that only 1/24 is available. We will see that this combination of scales is possible.
Pavel A. Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 As the first must I removed front axle. Next step were shorted chassis, for the same size as hood, underthe cab there was best place to made it. I decided to replace also airbags from rest rear axles. Original is terrible.
Pavel A. Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 next step is how to make simple new airbags. There are made from evergreen profiles. and also I must did something with terrible tyres. I put inside disc a stripe of plastic, how you can see on picture. And of course I drilled a new holes into discs.
Pavel A. Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Some weathering and rust. This is all for now. Stay tunned
Petetrucker07 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Excellent work Pavel. This will be an excellent addition to your shelf. Your attention to detail is second to none.I'd like to see how you have all of your outstanding builds displayed.
Pavel A. Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Please wait till wednesday.. I will be next two days out of home. Than I will place some photos... But nothing special
Jim B Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Looking great, Pavel. I have a box-stock version of this in process, and I can't decide if the hood sits too far back, or the bumper sticks out too far.
towman1271 Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Love what you are doing Pavel.. The detailing is imprerssive! Can't wait to see the finished product!
Kenny B Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Very nice detail Pavel. I really enjoy your builds.
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 This thing is awesome!! The plumbing on the chassis is incredible!! Very nice work!
Tesla Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 This looks real nice Pavel. The details and weathering are top notch as always.
tbill Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 another masterpiece on the way, looks fabulous so far.
Force Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Great work Pavel.Regarding the NTC 400, you could have used the dual turbo NTC 475 from the Revell AG Peterbilt 359, Kenworth K100 or T600 and leave out one of the turbos and you will have a 1:25th scale NTC 400.
Pavel A. Posted November 18, 2015 Author Posted November 18, 2015 Thanx, so the problem was there that I have just this cummins free. I think its look good.
Force Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Yes it does...it looks very good...I just thought I would give out the information if anyone want a 1:25 scale NTC 400
Pavel A. Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Works on this kit continues very slowly. I also make on our wbsite (look picture corner down). Chassis will be soon ready, just must adedd some filters. I tried to made a new external luberfiner on the right and dryer on the left. Than I made rear lights (from CTM parts) and mudflaps.
gatorincebu Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Pavel, i don't know how I missed this build thread. You are doing a really nice job on this one. I really like the weathering on your chassis. Be Well Gator
Bennyg Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Nice work. Always great to see "in progress" shots. Love the work with the radiator and airbags. Ben
Superpeterbilt Posted December 25, 2015 Posted December 25, 2015 Outstanding work Pavel. I dont know how I missed this one. I always enjoy watching your builds. You have taken this kit up a few levels in detail. I really like the plumbing and weathering, and the alclad on the wheels really makes them look better.
Pavel A. Posted December 25, 2015 Author Posted December 25, 2015 Thanx guys, there is no alclad on the wheels... I love work with Spaz Stix mirror chrome. Awesome thing! Highest recommendations from me! Aplication same like by Alclad. Watch this video.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lm9fqk2CfzY

I usually throw these revell wheels in the junk box, but you made them look better.
