GeeBee Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Been having a tidy up and dusting all the shelves and work surfaces over the last few days, finally got the workbench de-cluttered so i can now actually work on it .... Photo Booth on the bottom shelf New 23" LED TV added
High octane Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 Pretty cool to see the work areas of others. Only recently I reclaimed my shop area above my garage and started building model cars. Its not near as neat and clean as others but it works for me. As long as it works for you, that's all that counts.

Nacho Z Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I'll play. I have posted these before. I am proud of this room because I did all of the work myself. This was a bare, concrete floor, block wall corner of my basement where I first started back in the hobby. I would hang a blanket from the floor joists just to try to keep some heat in my hobby area. Heat in and dryer lint out....lol I made it a hobby room / Earnhardt shrine. I have added a few more kits since these pictures were taken. It is my escape area and I love to spend time down there.
Yenkocamaro Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 Hey Guys, some of these work areas look staged Too clean, and organized!! Mines a little different, because I collect and Mod 1/18 diecast. I recently moved, so I'm still trying to find a place for everything. My workbench is a 6ft folding table, and I need to build a Spray booth one of these days. Some really nice looking work rooms, wish I had more space, like some of you have. Cheers, Lance
John Pol Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 (edited) I redid mine 'bout a year and a half ago. It is a spare bedroom that is my den/hobby room. It has served me will for the last 20+ years. Edited December 6, 2015 by John Pol Like the posters on the wall

Once we get somewhere I have enough room, this is almost the exact mental image I have for my area. I love the shop feel of this. This is an awesome area. Edited December 11, 2015 by Petetrucker07
wayne swayze Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 My spare bedroom is where I have my work bench and store my kits. Where I paint is off site in a small "studio" that I rent.

landman Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Mine looks like this. A small room I share with the freezer, some camping stuff and a couple of storage chests. Some of the stash is in the furnace room and some is on and on top of the bookcases.

I'm jealous This is an Ideal setup, and I think, every builders dream. Awesome bench space, I love it! Cheers, Lance

wayne swayze Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Ya, I do Ray! Got a nice collection of model "A"s also. I missed out on a lot of kits when I was younger, so now I'm alone, I buy models that I really like.
10thumbs Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I like a lot of these areas! I'd feel real comfortable being there.I'm impressed too with the number of kits you guys have stashed! Man, I have 3 kits that have been bashed because of other builds, and an Anglia Gasser that'll be built some day.

Hi, Michael, ive learned that if you don't buy the kits when they come out, they get discontinued, can be hard to find, or unless you're lucky, will cost you ALOT more than they use to. But that could just be the kinds I like to build though too I guess. if your into Camaros, Mustangs, Impalas, or 57 Chevys, you will NEVER have a problem finding them cheap.
