Craig Irwin Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 We called them "Indy 10 spokes" but I don't have a clue who made them. I need 4 in 1/25 scale. Resin or kit source ? indy 10 spoke.php
Len Woodruff Posted December 26, 2015 Posted December 26, 2015 Can you try another picture. This one doesn't open.
Craig Irwin Posted December 26, 2015 Author Posted December 26, 2015 PM returned. Apparently the photo came from a secured site that didn't want reposing. I'll try to find another.
Jon Cole Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I cannot see the photo. Does not support a php document.
62pyro Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Had to take a pic of the screen after getting it to open.
Casey Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 Those are Foresight Ventures Drag Mag wheels, as their Indy 500 wheels have solid webs. The closest wheel I can think of are the 14" custom wheels from JO-HAN's '70 Cadillac Eldorado kit, but I've never seen the Drag Mag in resin, Craig.

Steven Zimmerman Posted December 28, 2015 Posted December 28, 2015 One of the older AMT 32 Ford kits had a wheel very similar......'Z'
Casey Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 These are the JO-HAN Cadillac Eldorado wheels I mentioned above, and are IMHO the closest available kit wheel:
Snake45 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 These are the JO-HAN Cadillac Eldorado wheels I mentioned above, and are IMHO the closest available kit wheel: Hah! I think the AMT '68 Toronado might have had those, too, or something very very similar.
Can-Con Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 How about the ones in the AMT '32 roadster? Pretty close too and quite deep. Best shot I can find right now.
afx Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) I have these in my collection. I got them in a wheel lot that I bought so I don't know the source. They are a little different from the ones Casey posted. The spoke recess is flat as well as the grease cap. Edited December 29, 2015 by afx
blunc Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 for future reference...instead of taking a photo of a picture on your computer monitor, you can perform a "screen shot".to perform a screen shot (on a Windows PC, not sure about other brands),1. hold down the shift key then press the "print screen" key then release both keys2. open Paint (or any other graphics program), MS Word (or probably any other word processor program) then hold down the Ctrl key and press the Y key and release both keys.3. you should see what was on your monitor (including icons and the task bar at the bottom of the screen) has been pasted into a file which you can save/edit.You can then upload it to a web photo site and link it to be seen here.
Casey Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 How about the ones in the AMT '32 roadster? Pretty close too and quite deep.IIRC those wheels have no lug nuts and the wheel center/hub are is huge in relation to the overall diameter. I think the hub center has a small stud on it, too. Perhaps there was a spinner nut provided to use with the wheels in an early issue?I have these in my collection. However I got them in a wheel lot that I bought so I don't know the source. They are a little different from the ones Casey posted. The spoke recess is flat as well as the grease cap. These appear closer to Cragar's GT wheels to me, but they are very close in style. The wheels I posted above measure .615" in diameter, so close to 14" in 1/25 scale.
