Mopar - D Posted June 19, 2016 Author Posted June 19, 2016 Thanks Rob and Jacobus. Worked on the exaust system today.
Tesla Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Those tires are perfect for this build. The exhaust system plumbing looks good!
Mopar - D Posted June 19, 2016 Author Posted June 19, 2016 After getting the exaust piping and stacks in place I was having to move the dump body further back and it was not looking right to me so I added another 1/2" to the frame. This is how it looks with the frame lengthen.
Sam I Am Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 You guys are hitting homers across the board !! Keep up the great work !
DRIPTROIT 71 Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Looking Great!!If I would have tried to lengthen the frame with as much as you've finished already, I would have had a MESS! You make it look easy. Great work!
Mopar - D Posted June 20, 2016 Author Posted June 20, 2016 Thanks Brian it was bugging and just decided it had to be done what ever happen would happen I got lucky by using one of the first frame joints to make the cut again and went from there.
Superpeterbilt Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 The exhaust looks great Dan. I ran into the same problem on my Mack and had to move the body back. My problem was because of the ram though. I forgot all about it! I can practically hear this old Huskie taking off, loaded down.
Mopar - D Posted June 21, 2016 Author Posted June 21, 2016 Thanks Michael I've picked up a lot of tips here and just want to do my part in return. Thanks Terry when I'm working on this it brings back the memory of the time I got my ride in one. Thanks Gino
Mopar - D Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 Not much change in the progress because I decided to change out the BMF I had on the grill to chrome powder and did not like the finish on the black fenders so I was redoing what was already done. Also painted the top section on the dump body. Started working on the interior to. I'm going to change out the white on the front grill to chrome in checking reference pictures it looks like they are painted/chrome depending on the owner so I'm going chrome.
landman Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 (edited) Looking geat Dan! Edited June 25, 2016 by landman
Mopar - D Posted June 27, 2016 Author Posted June 27, 2016 Thanks guys, I think that I've redone more things on this build than any of my other builds so far but I know what I want this to look like and I've been willing to take the time to get it that way instead of just getting close. Thanks for the continued support.
Mopar - D Posted July 1, 2016 Author Posted July 1, 2016 Worked on the interior and added the front grill and Brockway emblem.
gotnitro? Posted July 2, 2016 Posted July 2, 2016 Man Dan, this Husky looks fantastic! You can almost hear it running. I recently took a walk thru the Brockway museum in Cortland, really makes your build stand out seeing the history of these trucks
Mopar - D Posted July 4, 2016 Author Posted July 4, 2016 Thanks Jeff and Gino, Worked on the dump body with tail lights and decals. Also BMF on the cab. Next will be to install the glass in the cab and work on some other small details. Heres where it is at now. Still test fitting.
10thumbs Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 This is really turning out tough and hefty looking. The rear and decals look convincing, nice touches.
