redneckrigger Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Nice work........love those 1/25th scale First Gear diecasts too!
angelo7 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Great combos!! Love construction equipment too. If I may suggest, I would pull out the rear tires of the truck over the lip of the wheel.
Tommy Isbister Posted January 28, 2016 Author Posted January 28, 2016 Great combos!! Love construction equipment too. If I may suggest, I would pull out the rear tires of the truck over the lip of the wheel. I noticed that a few days ago and I hooked a curved pick under the lip of the tires and pulled them out. Dont know how they ended up that way. It was only the driver side tires but both the inner and outer tires were collapsed on the wheel??? Somebody may have squeezed the charmin while I wasn't looking.
Petetrucker07 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Nice build. Looks really good in yellow with the black accents.I really like these snapper kits. They have so much potetial. I can't leave them alone. I have OCD about chopping them up, either stretch em, shorten em to 2 axles, make day cabs. Very versitle.
Tesla Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Great looking project and I like the color on the Pete

Tommy Isbister Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 Loader is a 1/25 First Gear. Excavator is made in Mexico scaled down copy of the Bruder 1/16 version. A guy had four of them and I bought them all. All the box said was 1/24 Digger - made in Mexico. No other writing was on the box anywhere. They weren't much to look at to start with. I stripped this one down, painted and decaled it, glassed the cab, added hydraulic lines, brass grabs and rails then finished it off with a polished exhaust.
Tommy Isbister Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 Truck is original vintage Cat yellow Ace Hardware brand decanted and airbrushed. Peerless log trailer was scratch built.
