Burnout Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Those are both beautiful models. Nicely done! Are those 1/25 or larger scale? Thanks
bismarck Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 (edited) Ahhh, The Beebe and Mulligan digger!!! One of my ALL TIME favorites. Beautiful build's John. Love F/E rails!! That particular one especially. The late Pat Foster did a reproduction of that rail for the "Cackle Fest" reunions. I think Pat built the original frame for the B&M rail back in the day, didn't he? DumpyDan Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Well done looking pretty real, you should build a drag strip diaram

The chassis was done by Woody Gilmore, Pat just did the recreation one for Dave West
bismarck Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Yep. I just re-read that article this morning. There was a guy that still had the original nose cone off the rail that crashed in '69 , killing John. They weren't running the front bodywork that day. Its the only reason that piece of bodywork survived. They used that cone to match the paint for the new body tins.
Pro Tech Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 John, great job and great memories.CharliePro Tech
Mr. Metallic Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Such a great looking car, and your replica does it justice. I know there is the 1/16 kit, is your build 1/25?
Force Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Unfortunately Revell didn't do the slingshot dragsters in 1:25, only 1:16.
AC Norton Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 .........you do great work, John....always enjoy seeing your builds, thanks again for sharing.....best,,,the Ace.....
