Quick-slapped one of these together today. Not a bad kit. Kind of a hybrid between the older style SnapTite kits and the recent simpler Build & Play kits. 28 parts., new skill level 2. Really interesting how the disc brakes were done (molded together with the axle tube and they click into the chassis plate). Windows have the black surround painted, but on the outside in flat paint.  Body is actually two pieces that  have been glued at the factory.  Comes with mirrors (but no mirror faces) and taillights but I didn't snap them in as I plan on taking it back apart and painting it.

today I saw a 1.1 Ford GT/manufacturer's plate  prototype on I-94 just west of Ann Arbor, Michigan.  It was painted camo dark flat green, wearing all the correct body panels (no add on foam).  This is the first time I've seen the new GT out on the road, and it was truly stunning.  The entire car was no higher than the fenders of the cars running next to it on the freeway.

Thanks for posting, I just bought one of Ebay.....takes forever for Canadian vendors to get new releases usually. Doesn't look too bad at all.

KEWL Brett! B)

Can't wait for a full detail version (hopefully?)

I wouldn't hold your breath....I was really hoping for a full detail 2015/2017 Raptor trucks, there's been no real new truck kits for ages, other than the Meng Ford. Doesn't look like they're going to do either of the Raptors or the 2016 Mustang for that matter. I guess they want to get "new" people into the hobby by appealing to the kids, but Revell doesn't seem to realize, most kids get into the hobby cause their dads and uncles build and get them hooked. Revell  should be appealing to us as well and I think they're missing the mark with easy snap kits and pre-decorated BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH. My opinion, I know others will disagree, that's cool. All that said, I'm still getting one as the Ford GT's have always been one of my favourite cars, and since I doubt we'll see a full kit anytime soon, gotta have atleast one.

Here's another article I found on the new kit

Just bought one on eBay. Another outstanding car into a series of cars dating back to the early 1960's. I'm not a big Ford  guy, but I love Ford's GT-40s (even the Mk III) and the newer GTs.

I saw one at the NNL West a couple of weekends ago.  Even for a snapper, it looks very nice and well designed.  Re the 1-to-1: how different are the body panels between the race and street versions?  Probably just enough to make a straight build impracticable, I'd guess.

Got mine today. It took about a half hour to build. Despite it being a snap kit, I used glue to make sure it never comes apart. A very nice kit. It compares well in looks with my Fujimi GT 40 Mk I. And Revell (Fujimi) Mk II. It will be fun to compare and display it with my MPC Mk IV, and Polar Lights 2005 GT also. Ford and Revell have done a good keeping the Ford GT legend alive.

I have no way of posting pictures on this website anymore. So you'll just have take my word on it.

This picture posting thing has been a problem here for awhile. And kind of angers me. So thanks for bringing that up.

really? what do you use to host? photobucket is free, and for like $1 a month you can get rid of the pop ups. Didn't know posting pics was in issue for some.

Sorry to bring up harsh memories.

If you search out other threads here, you'll find there are several people here who are having the same problem posting pictures here. So, just because somebody claims to have something, but does not post pictures, doesn't mean the claim isn't true.

I posted those straight off my phone without a host, just let the forum handle them.

This will be a cool one to get. I was lucky to have worked on the development of the steering wheel and portions of the Instrument panel of the pre-prototype car.

Instead of posting the direct pictures themselves, I, for one, am okay with links from the browser address bar.

Beats nothing.

All of you who would like to see me post pictures. One of you needs to come over here and show me how to do it, and how to up set up the links to make it work. Until that happens, you'll be seeing no pictures from me. So I'd like to stop hearing about it for now. I would post pictures if I could!

Surprisingly, the wheels looks to be correct size.... let's hope that Revell will keep gooing this way!

Really cool kit, thank's for the review.

The wheels and tires do seem ok for once. But the metal "axles" need a few mm loped off on each, front and back.

The explanation of how to post pictures here has been covered in various threads about a bazillion times already. It's even a pinned topic. But just for you, here it is again...

This site only allows a very small amount of space to upload images directly from your computer, because this site is NOT meant to be a photo hosting site. Can you imagine the amount of storage space we would need if this site hosted all of the photos we constantly post here?

The right way to do it it to open a photo hosting account, like Photobucket. Photo hosting sites are designed to do just that... host (or store) your images on their servers, not ours. Load all your images into albums on your photo hosting site, then you post the link to your photos here in your posts, not the actual photo. The photo stays parked on your photo hosting site's server, taking up their space, yet we can still see the image here in your posts because you posted the link to the image here, not the image itself.
