Repstock Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I know it's harmless, I'm just curious as to the purpose/meaning of adding "Just sayin...".
Snake45 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) If it bothers you, you won't be able to listen to talk personality Tammy Bruce. (Or was listening to her what prompted the question?)Just sayin'....https://www.google.com/search?q=just+sayin'&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&startIndex=&startPage=1&gws_rd=ssl Edited April 14, 2016 by Snake45
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) In web-speak, I always took it to be a kind of non-confrontational post-modifier or suffix, added to help ease the friction sometimes caused by informing a poster of something they might not know, or may have forgotten, especially when the post seems to be in error because of misinterpretation of facts, or missing relevant facts altogether. Repstock Posted April 14, 2016 Author Posted April 14, 2016 Actually, these responses have clarified things. Thank you. I would have bet a paycheck that at least one response would include "Just sayin'". I was not disappointed. Seriously, thanks all for clarifying this admittedly trivial matter.
Harry P. Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 There is no matter too trivial for us to chime in on! Just sayin'...
mikemodeler Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 I figured a man of your incredible talent would be up on what's happening in the world these days Tom. Just sayin.......... Sometimes you have to ask because what may seem obvious to some isn't always to others.
GT4494 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 (edited) Well bless y'alls hearts! Just sayin Edited April 14, 2016 by GT4494
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 There is no matter too trivial for us to chime in on! That should probably be my new motto.

Snake45 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 Personally, I'm a big fan of confrontational microaggressive post modifiers and suffixes, know what I'm sayin'? Yes, I've noticed. I think we've all noticed. Just sayin'....
SfanGoch Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 (edited) Yes, I've noticed. I think we've all noticed. Just sayin'.... Yup, that's me, the human bullseye. Just the way I like it. Edited April 15, 2016 by SfanGoch
slusher Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 That should probably be my new motto. That would not be a bad motto.

Sometimes you have to ask because what may seem obvious to some isn't always to others. In many respects I find the world more disappointing with each passing day. One of my futile interests is politics. I think I just found my problem!
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 In many respects I find the world more disappointing with each passing day. The unfortunate side-effect of going through life with your eyes open and your brain in gear.

Snake45 Posted April 15, 2016 Posted April 15, 2016 The unfortunate side-effect of going through life with your eyes open and your brain in gear. Another way to put it: "Anyone who isn't absolutely terrified doesn't understand the situation."

Snake45 Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Oops, typo. Don't they have an app for that yet? I think they do. It's called "Spellcheck." Some versions even flag odd syntax and such.
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Another way to put it: "Anyone who isn't absolutely terrified doesn't understand the situation." Or just has his head up his apps.
