Hi guys,

Back with a new built, this time a 55 Bel Air Coupe from Revell. Nothing really complicated as I'm working on a big project and needed something "relaxing" between ;) So this is a box stock, I've just work on the grill to open up the hole, I've moved the rear axle because it wasn't good with the wheel opening. Wheels and tires are from AMT as the white wall in box were too thin for a 55 car. I always wanted to have a 55 in this color as it is showed on the original brochure, I like this 2 tone and you never see it painted this way. So a friend of mine find me the good reference and painted me the body in green, than I painted the roof and interior to match the catalog ;)

Hope you'll like it ;)

As I'm a big fan of the  Michael Paul Smith work, I've try to take some pics the way he will do it, with my material, far from his quality but very interesting to do !!!

I'm not a fan of the tri 5 chevy's but I would drive this, very nice and I love the color combo.

Aaaah.....one of my favorite colors for a '55! Absolutely beautiful!

I could swear that many years ago, I had a guy pass me in a '55 Nomad in that exact color, but the top of the car was painted in a darker green.......maybe a turquoise? Did Chevy offer that combination back then? Either which way, I never forgot that color, and would like to do a Nomad in that exact shade someday. ;)
