Mike999 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Amazing! Some great ideas there that I will try my best to steal. Especially like the emergency brake cable/clamp detail and those open header caps.
landman Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Now, that is serios detailing. I'd be interested in a tutorial on wrapping wiring harnesses.
oldnslow Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 very nice, great subject and excellent execution.
BobbyG Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Dr Jay:Absolutely beautiful. You're giving me inspiration to finish my 62 Max Wedge. My 63 Plymouth Savoy is almost ready to begin building after all the scratch parts I've been making but want to finish up the Dodge right after. I've behind on the forum updates and will try to get some pics posted over the weekend.
MGL Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Amazing! This is one of the coolest models I've seen in a long time!
John Goschke Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Amazing workmanship and incredible detail! Beautifully done all around.
Chitown Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Man that is great! The build is just like the real car, an understated knockout!!
TooOld Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Drop dead gorgeous Dodge ! Amazing detailing and finish over the entire build .
Badluck 13 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Amazing detail everywhere....brake lines, fuel lines, tranny lines, wire harness and even the touch of the front park lamp bulb detail....every time you look you see more and more...
MrObsessive Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Certainly not the prettiest car in '62, but WOW is that ever nice!! I LOVE the details you put into it..........you sure did an excellent job with the chassis as those old Johans were sorely lacking in that area.
Greg Pugh Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Whoa! That's awesome! Great detail and finish!! And you're right, that is one ugly car! Through no fault of your own of course!
RandyEarle Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) My dad had a '62 Dart 440 2 door that he bought new. It had the 413 with the trailer towing package.I remember thinking how ugly it was, but it would run like a raped ape I remember it only got about 10 miles per gallon. Maindrian Pace Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Holy cow, that build is superb in every way! I've always liked the '62 Dodge, and I built the convertible back in the early '80s. I painted it red to match Sylvester's car in Its A Mad Mad Mad Mad World. One of my favorite cars in one of my favorite movies.
