Admittedly I've yet to master the shiny paint job. I'm pretty terrified of ruining good paint with the buffing process, which I have done twice. However I did win Best Paint recently for my patina'd '49 Ford.

To be honest. My favorite is actually one of my most recent. Also one of the fastest builds I've ever done. Start to finish in just over 24 hours. It was far easier than I imagined it was going to be and turned out much better than I thought it would.

I was going for an authentic period finish, not a restored, glass-smooth, shiny finish. But what the car would have looked like back in the day. I think I got it...

It didn't take long for the thing to go from "your favorite paint job" to "a bunch of pictures of different kits, that are all my favorite paint jobs

And I just won a case of beer.
