Starliner Kustoms Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Red Baron I finished this last summer. I know a little slow on the posting but hey, I was busy building models.... LOL Anyway, basically box stock. Fun but a bit of a pain to put together. I used Tamiya Red and Krylon Nickel for the colors.
Nacho Z Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Very cool! This is one of my all time favorite model kits from my youth. I still have what is left of the original kit I built many, many years ago. Nice job on yours!
Hubert Rollins Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Looks like a very nice slick, clean build. I kind of have an itch to do one of those crazy kits sometime.
TooOld Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 That looks great ! I like the helmet painted nickel instead of chrome plated , it looks like the full size Red Baron built by Chuck Miller !
mustang1989 Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I've always been drawn to this car. I've never really cared for the wheels but the layout is awesome. Great job on a really wild car Bernie!
Twokidsnosleep Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Great job, such a cool rodMade this kit as a kid long ago, have had the box in my hands a couple times to buy again it but not pulled the trigger Now you are making me regret putting the box down
The Danish sprue wrangler Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 looking good . every time i see this kit i want one . ohh well someday
unclescott58 Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Wow! Very nice. One of the all time great classic Tom Daniel designs.
HotRodaSaurus Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 (edited) Great model Bernie, I have an old original to restore, one day . Just don't seem time these days but thats life. Hey Bob, just how many $$$ to chrome the full size, and worse, how many hrs polishing it out And for anyone visiting the Wiesbaden area of Germany, here the Baron finally lies. This is a family grave as the Red Baron was originally buried in both France and (East Berlin)Germany. His stone is at the front. Anyone wishing more details PM me please as this is a modelling forum On 5/11/2016 at 11:39 AM, TooOld said: That looks great !
