Very cool project. This should wind up being a real beauty. But you really should have filled that huge sink mark on the manifold.

Weight savings, makes it go faster.
Seriously though, looks awesome. Love the NHC-250 (I'm assuming, could be a NTC-350) in there.

The only problem with filling that, is then all of the cast iron "texture" will be sanded off. I know there are way to replicate it, but that probably why it wasnt filled.

Thanks for all of the comments guys!

Thanks Harry, I'm still learning and hind sight is 20/20. Glad to see you back. I'm sure that wont be my last "OOPS" on this project. :) Most of that area of the manifold will be covered by the shifter assembly when it is finished. The shifter assembly mounted to the engine in these trucks.

Thanks Dennis!

Thanks Sam! Those rear tires are solid resin from Kit Form Services. They were cast with European type Budd wheels, but I drilled them out for the spoke replacements. The only problem with them is the area between the duals is not deep enough. I liked the tread though and I picked them up pretty cheap. The front are solids from KFS as well.

Outstanding work Brian, truly. My tastes run toward the glamor queens, but you cannot help but love this work horse beauty. It is just so well done!

Makes me want to get some tires from them for an upcoming DM600, just wish they weren't in the UK - or that Sourkraut had them in stock. But I digress. Great work on the truck. I love the little details - like the  napa logos on the filters not being lined up the same so they look like they were screwed on by hand. Great work.

This is one of the most fascinating builds I have ever seen. Which nuts did you use on the oil filter bracket?

They're from Meng. I think that they scale out at about 3/4".
