Usually don't care for this style of car but MAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan I love the looks of this one, still have no clue what it is.........back to the search...

I'd figured it for something new and retro-styled (the Morgan Aeromax with coachwork by Saoutchik look), but I couldn't find the darn thing. I was trying to think what existing platform had that extreme ratio of the distances from the rear wheels to driver vs driver to front wheels...

At first I thought it was a much older model but at closer look you could see a 3rd brake light pod on the top of the roof.....but still could not find this one......ID well played Ken!!

The wheels are too small diameter to be a real period car, so I image-searched "looks like Bugatti Atlantic" and it came up about 3/4 down the page.

Image result for looks like bugatti atlantic

There are a couple other recent cars inspired by the Atlantic that I think got the proportions a little better though.

Yeah, I think they got a little carried away with the front end, it could lose 12 to 18 inches in my opinion. Keep the hood length but reduce the bulk of the fenders and the wheelbase a little. Does anybody know anything about the engine? It is described as a 5.7 litre DV1 alloy V8 and looks like a Chevrolet. ( I'm sure I saw mention of a 350 Chev on one website) Not up to speed on GM these days, but I'm fairly sure they don't do a stock alloy blocked V8. Is it their own lump or is it an after market piece? The inter web seems a bit light on detail regarding the Devaux, so I'm hoping someone on here knows.

The alloy-block Chebby LS engine has been in production since 1997. Multiple displacements (4.8 liter up to 7 liter) and configurations, bolts in pretty much any hole the old smallblock will go in. Same bellhousing bolt pattern (minus one bolt hole).

I had actually seen the subject years ago on the interwebs, forgot the name of the car but remembered where it was built.

That was exactly my excuse! I'd seen it before and the only thing I remembered was"Australian".  Lucky me.

Ace Garageguy, that shows how out of touch I am, I thought the LS range was iron blocked. I stopped reading the new car press about 20 years ago, I have some catching up to do.

ps

What is all this liter business? We all know there ain't no substitute for cubic inches

May I add these to 'cars I'd like to see produced as model kits' ?

You could start with Lindberg's Chrysler Atlantic concept car.
