I bought this kit just to get the wheels for a project. When that was done I was trying to figure out what to do with this kit. While doing a search I came across the photo you will see here. I am not going to try and do a replica of it but rather use it as a guide to something similar. I don't normally do any rat rods or barn find stuff but will try and do this up as a car where the interior and engine and chrome was restored but the body was left as found.

Cool idea for a project.  Can't wait to see more.

Its been many years since I tried to build this kit, don't have many positive memories...best of luck!

Very interesting and very nice. I'd say the hood scoop is of a style that looks much newer than the rest of the car, but otherwise, it looks very "barny." B)

I must agree about the scoop. I may have to check the parts box and see if I have something more period looking.

or no scoop at allB)....

A tunnel ram intake sticking out of the hood would suit the gasser look.

What about a Grump Lump? Should be easy with sheet plastic.

I'd say No Scoop would work best for this, too. Just have a weathered-looking blower/injector coming through the hood.

What Ray... No cobra? Haha  I am really liking where you are going with this build. It is looking good so far. I gotta say I like Richards idea with the blower.

I have a 69 Chevelle rusty old drag car a friend of mine built for me and he made a tarp over the tunnel ram sticking through the hood with the hood on it looks really cool with the tarp sticking through the hood.
