So if back in the day the guys at Palmer Plastics were to go off the reproduction here, does that mean the kit would have ended up proportioned correctly?

Or, like Picasso, an ear would end up in the wheel spokes....

I think they're both pretty goofy looking...

Harry, the original Barney Oldfield "Golden Submarine" was pretty much right on the money for 1919, when it was built, and as restored/reproduced by a Michigan enthusiast back about 25yrs ago (I've seen it in person, it's really pretty awesome.    However, the later "reproduction" is just plain awful--I've seen it multiple times, as the guy keeps running it through the auction at Auburn IN over Labor Day.

All the mirrors in the world won't save that thing. It's just flat-out UGLY.

Perhaps, but it WAS state of the art aerodynamics for the time.

Unfortunately, what the air likes doesn't always go hand in hand with what the mind and eye like.
