John... My Brother what can I say but this thing is turning our amazing. You sure know how to use that Teresi Magic of yours and build what you see. What an awesome Talent. I can not wait to see what is next on this Bad Boy cause you are killing it so far. I am enjoying watching this one come together.

Really lookin' good here John. lol. I can't get this car out of my head because it's so dang crazy! I do have a question for you though. What's your process for dealing with those two piece rear tires? I used a set of these and did the very best I could on 'em but I think I could improve on the next set. Just curious.

Hi Joe......this is a 1/16 scale build and I am using  some rear 1/16 slicks from a Revell drag kit.......they are one piece hollow  rubber slicks......I guess they look like two piece tires......but,I will take my drummel and sand the rib down that is on the center of the slick.......thanks

Hi Doug.......thanks for the heads-up on the rear end......I knew it was a Ford rear end...... but, like a said on my first post this was not going to be a an exact replica......I did not have a 1/16 Scale Ford rear end and I was`nt going to buy one to use on this kit......I kinda like the look of the quick change anyway.......always room for improvment:)........I try and just use what I have without spending money......I will add the traction bars in the back though......I did not have very many pictures of this car......but,the 2 you just sent me really helped........thanks

Hello......I thank you all for the kind comments and your thoughts on this build......I really appreciate them:)......I did some body mods on the front fenders and opened up the sides of the body for the headers to fit through.......I also modified the radiator and headlights......I made a dash and bar stool seat and mocked-up a gas pedal from my parts box that resembles the 1:1 gas pedal........I also made a fire wall and modified a gas tank from my parts box......thanks for looking.

You'll excuse me while I run to get a tissue to stop the nose bleed I just got watching how FAST (and fantastic) this build is progressing.  Nice to see you back on the forum John.   cheers

John...  Wow Brother this is turning out awesome. You are killing the details on this build. I swear you are going to have this thing in primer by the weekend and have it all painted next week...lol  Not bad for only starting it 8 Days ago.... wish I could build this fast... lol This build is sure coming along very nice and it is a pleasure to watch this come together. Keep up the Awesome work on this one.

Always does my heart good to see you on a roll again John.

I love the rake, but not of the chassis, the rake of the booth. It looks mean, tilted into the wind.

Glad to see you crankin' away Bro.

John....great to see you back at it, and amazed at how quickly you can define and build such a convincing replica largely from scratch.

In the original MPC kit, the engine was a DeSoto Firedome Hemi, which I presume was based on the the 1/1 scale original.  An early Chrysler Hemi, then, is a close but not identical substitute.   In keeping with your slight "upgrading" (e.g. the Halibrand Quick Change i/l/o a Ford 9"), the step up (in power and prestige) from a DeSoto Firedome to a first gen Chrysler Hemi seems entirely consistent for your project.  Plus the effort to fully duplicate exactly a Firedome (e.g changes like the engine front cover/water pump layout)  seems to be a questionable effort given the similarity in design between the two 1/1 scale) engines.

Will be watching this one progress and envision a stunning result when complete, just like the other projects you've shared here and elsewhere in the past.  Way to go!   TIM

John, looking great so far. I wonder if the real car was ever driven down the street. The torque from the engine would have caused the booth to go flying. Ha.

I know you'll do a superb job and you'll probably have it done before I finish typing this.....

Hello......thank you all so very much for the kind comments......I really do appreciate them:)......small up-date today......I was`nt going to pay $45.00 for a 1/16 Scale T` Bucket on Ebay that had antique tail lights.......so I made some antique Model T  tail lights that are used up front on the booth like the ones on the 1:1 car........just a few touch-ups and they should be ready to go.......they are not perfect but, good enought for the girls I go with......thanks for looking.
