JollySipper Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) I think this is kinda cool! I wouldn't buy it, but you can see that he put a lot of work into it............http://www.craigslist.org/about/best/lax/5711535517.html Edited August 28, 2016 by JollySipper
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) Looks like ol' NCC-1701 flew through a system where some kind of fractal-junk lifeforms attached themselves to the ship and started multiplying. Kinda like non-cute tribbles...on the outside. Edited August 28, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) $25,000 ?? Edited August 28, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy
JollySipper Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 I guess you have to see it from an "arts and crafts" viewpoint...........
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I guess you have to see it from an "arts and crafts" viewpoint........... This one's bigger...
JollySipper Posted August 28, 2016 Author Posted August 28, 2016 Well, I think it's kinda cool............ But then again I like Les Claypool too, so there you go........
Ace-Garageguy Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) Well, I think it's kinda cool............ But then again I like Les Claypool too, so there you go........ Hey man...I suppose I really shouldn't dump on the guy's Enterprise "model"...though I think "very loose interpretation" might be a little more accurate. I got put off of the folk-art genre watching an undisciplined Georgia "artist" named Howard Finster become sought-after and rich while the "critics" and gallery owners ooo-ed and ahh-ed over his no-talent and tacky assemblages all the way to the bank. If the guy in the OP is having fun, great...but 25 grand? Pretty ridiculous. And I prefer Les Paul. Edited August 29, 2016 by Ace-Garageguy
Crazy Ed Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 Looks like the Star Trek version of the Jeepney Taxi/Bus's in the Philippines!
blunc Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 looks more like a "Dr. Who" version of the Enterprise...but, who knows, someone will probly buy it.
Lunajammer Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 I LOVE that thing. I don't $25G love it, but I'm a big fan of "found objects" art.
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 One mans Trash, is another mansTreasure. One man's cheese is another man's rotten milk.
unclescott58 Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 I'm a Trekie and that thing turns me off. That is the worst looking Enterpise model I've ever seen.
JollySipper Posted September 1, 2016 Author Posted September 1, 2016 Maybe you guys would dig it better if he left off the Fleur De Lis'...........
Ace-Garageguy Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Maybe you guys would dig it better if he left off the Fleur De Lis'........... Another good reason to be thankful that "in space, no one can hear you scream".
