MeatMan Posted December 11, 2016 Posted December 11, 2016 Nice concept! Clearly a lot of work went in to getting you where you are. I absolutely love that front end work!

drive4th Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 hah this is excellent and needs to be done! good luck
Chuck Most Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 I like it. It's kind of shaping up the way the 914 may have, had it been continued to the present day.
FrozenPlastik49 Posted February 18, 2017 Author Posted February 18, 2017 First post of the new year. Started working on the carbon fiber decals and brakes.
FrozenPlastik49 Posted August 12, 2017 Author Posted August 12, 2017 Can't believe its been February since my last post! Here's the latest on the build. Most of the interior and engine are finished. Body is painted and clear coated and in the process of being polished. Shouldn't be more than another six months or so before this can get moved to the 'Under Glass' section...lol.
Foxer Posted August 12, 2017 Posted August 12, 2017 That paint really makes it pop .. the carbon fiber even more so! ... looks like you made the one week painting season up there.
FrozenPlastik49 Posted August 23, 2017 Author Posted August 23, 2017 Nice to see some progress on this. Thanks AFX!

djflyer Posted August 23, 2017 Posted August 23, 2017 Excellent build - 914's have always been a favorite of mine. Disappointing there hasn't been a really good kit of one (kinda like the 289 Cobra). Not to throw a monkey wrench at this point, but how about replacing the pop-ups with some clear-lens led projection beams? I recall a build where the guy took a piece of clear acrylic cut in a wedge shape, drilled the back of the vertical wall to represent the "bulbs", then foiled the back. If you can cut out the pop-ups without damaging the paint it might complete the new-meets-old theme. Just an idea.

I do have another 914 body that will be a future project and will be sure to incorporate your idea then. Thanks!
