ViperDave Posted May 14, 2008 Author Posted May 14, 2008 tell him that sucker is sweet! it's TRaK-able too I thought about it but didn't know if it would get kicked out because of the seat cover pattern. If you think it would pass I will post it. Thanks Dave
george 53 Posted May 14, 2008 Posted May 14, 2008 2questions, 1 Whats wrong with the seatcovers? looks like leopard,or zebra, are you afraid of PETA? 2,How did you get that insrument panel so down? is it a decal or was it painted freehand? Either way, It just makes a fabulous model all the better!Still a 2 thumbsup an a snap!!!

After all PETA is for People Enjoy Tasty Animals. The dash was painteded white first then the black was put over the insturments. Then the tops of the numbers were scraped off without going through the white paint The Details were hand painted. I will catch you later. I still have to finish off the Leopard stew. Dave
Guest roadkill2525 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Excellent build, its seems like it would look good crusin' to the Peter Gunn theme.
Guest zebm1 Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 So is Chopper...Viper Dave's altered ego? Oh yeah, very nice Slammed Caddylac......
ViperDave Posted May 16, 2008 Author Posted May 16, 2008 So is Chopper...Viper Dave's altered ego? Oh yeah, very nice Slammed Caddylac...... We started our club back in 91. Ted "Chopper" Lear was building models at the time but not up to the quality of what he does now. He was chopping up bodies and we use to ask him if he took a new kit and chopped up the box then opened what was left and tried to make something out of the pieces. Me and my buddy Rich gave him the Chopper nickname around 91 or 92 and it has stuck with him. Chopper and I go to a lot of shows together and sometimes we have things entered in the same class. 2 weeks ago we were in Indy and in curbside he took first and I took 3rd. I did take a first in Factory Stock which is what I do best and also the Best Foreign car with my 67 Ferrari 275 GTB-4. Chopper got his computer less than 2 years ago and he just got a new digital camera but hasn't got the downloading part down pat yet. I have been taking all of his pics of his projects and posting them on Spotlight, Scale Auto, Model Cars, B & M, Everything models, Mad modelers, and sometimes on TRaK models. I'm glad you like his work. When we taught him how to sand and rub out his paint jobs we didn't have any idea he would do so good and now he whoops our hineys. Thanks Dave.
kasteer Posted May 20, 2008 Posted May 20, 2008 Wow. Great detail and even greater paint! How'd you get that detail on the dash guages???
slant6 Posted May 21, 2008 Posted May 21, 2008 Looks F*&^@ng excellent. I gotta finally as though, since Ive seen so my models on this site with a lowered suspension. How do you do it?
