TarheelRick Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Can't add much more than what has already been said. Really does capture the look of the box art. I built an original of this kit back when it actually was an original issue. Loved it then and now have another repop in my stash to build when I get to it. Nice job and that B&W display is beautiful.
geetee66 Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Good job on the box art model. The old Testors glue and paint bottles are a nice touch.I agree. It adds a lot to an already ace build.
FordRodnKustom Posted January 24, 2017 Author Posted January 24, 2017 Thanks! I appreciate all your good words. It's encouraging to see that there is an amount of acceptance for this type of build here.
dust collectors Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Spot on! Dig the vent windows. Cool box art worth replicating.
Yeah Nah Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 To me there's real appeal with these old box art builds. Nicely done.
TooOld Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 Ron was a master at Box Art Builds especially these early AMT kits , he also built everything from stock to customs to all forms of race cars . Unfortunately Ron passed suddenly in July of 2021 from non-covid related causes . . . he is greatly missed .
Zippi Posted December 20, 2023 Posted December 20, 2023 I really like the body style of the 40 Ford Sedan or Coupe. Love the fat fenders. Great looking build and the decals look Super.
