Well, model-wise, 2016 wasn't all that productive. I got only one done. The reason for that, is that 2016 was majorly productive in other areas. I bought out my business partner so my wife and I are sole owners of our restaurant now and we bought a house. The house is an older home that needs a lot of work, which also takes a lot of my time, but it will be our dream home and we couldn't be happier. And although I only got one model done, I managed to get my new model room about 80% completed. This is the first time that I've had my own space that I didn't have to share, whether it be a home office, spare bedroom, etc. This room is all mine and it's only for model building! It has been so much fun getting it all set up and put together. And with the big accomplishments of 2016 in the rearview mirror, and my new space to build, I'm hopeful that 2017 will be an epic year for building!

Here's my only build for the year. It's a Revell Lil' John Buttera '27 T Touring car. I built it to replicate the box art. Fun little build.

Hice work on the 27. Hobbyroom looks great. Always nice to have a dedicted work space.

Agree! And to add: that 27 looks right at home on the beach too!

Your other successes certainly make one model worth it. Just the fact that you run a restaurant and have time for anything else is pretty amazing.

Nice. Could we have a closeup of the paint rack?

It's nothing special really but it works. It was a lap-style TV tray that my wife was going to throw out. I had an idea and saved it. I made the shelves out of Home Depot yard sticks and installed them in the underside of the tray. It's not quite big enough for what I need but it's proved to be quite handy. I will probably be building something similar but larger sometime in the near future.
