cobraman Posted January 11, 2017 Posted January 11, 2017 Just a little something I have been playing around with for a short time. Just wanted another "different" Cobra to add to the collection. This is just an early mock up. I am using the Revell Bronco kit for the chassis and suspension. There will not be an engine in this as I was too lazy on this one to make all the changes it would take to move the engine back. I will have to fab up some kind of interior because the stock one from the Cobra kit will not work with the Bronco frame.

Russell C Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) we could start a list of Cobra "versions" for you to explore..  Cobra mini home camper? Remember the '70s do-it-yourself one with the VW Beetle nose? (so-so photo alteration I did years ago) Edited January 13, 2017 by Russell C
Dann Tier Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 I thought you liked Cobras. LoL!!, that's what I first thought too.........gonna be a neat build though!
cobraman Posted January 13, 2017 Author Posted January 13, 2017 Kind of a silly build I guess but I have well over 625 Cobra's in my collection and I need some do be different. The 4x4 is different but that Cobra front on the camper is just all kinds of wrong and I won't build a model like that !
geemoney Posted January 13, 2017 Posted January 13, 2017 625!!nice!im with you, I would never build that 437 camperI would use a 289 or Daytona coupe nose instead!
Russell C Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 (edited) ...that Cobra front on the camper is just all kinds of wrong and I won't build a model like that ! Very true! It was one of three photo alterations I did years ago to mess with the mind of a Cobra kit car guy I knew. He didn't like it either. Edited January 14, 2017 by Russell C

crazyrichard Posted January 14, 2017 Posted January 14, 2017 cool !~but i would ef. like to see an angine and driveline on this , i think as a project its cool enough and its worth it .. also spot on with the tyres now , this gives it a baja feel like dan said .. would need a roll cage more extensive then usual ? hoops going through a hole into the trunk ?
bobthehobbyguy Posted January 15, 2017 Posted January 15, 2017 Ray I see it as a fun build not a silly build. One of the pleasures of modeling is being able to do whatifs that you never do fullsize.Wow 625 cobras. Think that is an obbession rather than collection LOL. Keep on showing more new cobra styles.
cobraman Posted January 15, 2017 Author Posted January 15, 2017 Thanks, this one is done and is in the Under Glass section.
