James2 Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 (edited) Some of you might remember a little purple 32 build I started long ago, "Underslung" It had an upside down chassis, chopped and channeled and a blown Pontiac. (Which I put in the 34 Pick up build) But any way, I saved most of that build to do something with it later. Later is now! I'm not sure what I'll be doing but I have started refurbishing the body anyway. I found these fender and thought WTH! So if you like counting rivets, putting forth you opinion or generally adding your 2 cents, now's the time. Help me decide what to do with this and please no rude, crude placements in body orifice. espo Posted January 22, 2017 Posted January 22, 2017 I like it so far, filled roof, louvered trunk and American Graffity rear fenders.
James2 Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Just kind of a mix of parts laying around...
bobthehobbyguy Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Great start. Cool project. Does have an American Graffiti look to it.
D. Battista Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Good start so far .... You doing street or strip..? I see you have slicks under it now... no yellow paint...lol
DumpyDan Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Man that looks sweet, parts laying around a......Ya
espo Posted January 27, 2017 Posted January 27, 2017 Great looking build. As others have pointed out it has the look of Milner's Hot Rod. I have always felt a little mixed on the abbreviated rear fender look but these look just right. Milner might want to be careful getting in and out that he doesn't burn his ankle on the side pipes.
James2 Posted January 27, 2017 Author Posted January 27, 2017 (edited) Yeah, kinda rough on the pants leg! But thanks for the positive vibes....It's gonna end up Drag with a little bigger slick, and would be totally streetable too!I think it should run in the "Gasser" class Edited January 27, 2017 by James2
Kustom Rodder Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 I like it your on the right track come up with a cool color from the 60s.
Snake45 Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Great start. Cool project. Does have an American Graffiti look to it.Exactly what I thought! And even cooler, IMHO.
Snake45 Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 I think it should run in the "Gasser" classWithout full (stock) fenders, it would be in Altered.
1930fordpickup Posted January 28, 2017 Posted January 28, 2017 Grab your can of paint and go on. Looks great the way it is.
James2 Posted January 28, 2017 Author Posted January 28, 2017 Without full (stock) fenders, it would be in Altered. Seriously
James2 Posted January 29, 2017 Author Posted January 29, 2017 Keeping with the "What ever I got laying around" theme...
Ace-Garageguy Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Much better line between the grille shell and the cowl than on the oddly-proportioned "Milner Coupe" from American Graffiti. MUCH better. Overall this is a good looking little hot-rod, nice parts choices, color works well.
exesivefire Posted February 8, 2017 Posted February 8, 2017 for a bunch of parts you have laying around, this sure looks like a nice little rod!
Randy D Posted February 11, 2017 Posted February 11, 2017 I like where you are going with this James !! Randy
