Well done on the BMF work Geoff. Your build is really coming along nicely. I really like how cleanly everything is turning out, especially the interior and engine.

Even though the clear glass parts have been sealed inside the plastic bag, there were still a few scuff marks on them, so out come the Holts motorcycle polish, the photo of the two together shows the one polished and the other still to be done

One Polished ...

One still to be done .... (On the right)

Front windshield fitted, just the rear one to fit, and I'm pleased to say my photo etch tools arrived from China, took just over 3 weeks, but it was free shipping, sent via the silk road I think ..... so now I can crack on with the photo etch, started off by taping the detail set to a strip of masking tape, and started polishing it using flat sanding pads, started with 4000, then 6000 and then 8000, starting to look like chrome now.

I hear ya on the eye sight thing. Having the same issues myself. Seems even with my new glasses I struggle to see the fine detail work. Nice job on the interior.

Nice work with the polished glass Geoff. One idea I've always wanted to do is use the Future shine that many on here talk of. I've never found that product here in England. Is it something you've come across?

About time I got back to working on this one, so today I pulled it out, got the rear screen fitted, using the 5 minute fix, brilliant stuff, and got the body fitted onto the chassis, it didn't want to sit on the front of the chassis, but some 5 minute epoxy, a few clamps and masking tape, and it was sorted ....

It's looking better and better!!! A masterpiece on the making.

I just used PU parts on one car, a '62 'Bird, and went back to box stock. This trend of adding aftermarket detail can get out of control really fast.

Geoff,  This is a beautiful build!  Everything about it is just wonderful.

What brand of clear did you use on the body?  Is the clear airbrushed or sprayed out of a can?

I haven't finished reading though all your posts, so I apologize for asking  if you already mentioned it.

Mike.

This is shaping up to be quite possibly the nicest example of this kit I've seen since it was introduced, & I've seen a lot of them!

Here is another prime example of how a factory stock build can put all of the customs to shame!

Absolutely beautiful Geoff!!

That Copper Orange on that '57 300 turned out GORGEOUS!!!!! NICE work man! I did one in Panther Pink a couple years ago, and the more I see this same kit, the more I want another one!!!!!

its just some single stage acrylic clear lacquer I got from my local bodyshop, luckily the manager is a good friend of mine, but to what brand it is, I haven't got a clue, and it was airbrushed using my Paasche VL airbrush with the #5 needle.
