donb Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 53 Ford from Lindberg. Built as a curbside. I remember a Kindig Impala build that was painted Lambo red (I believe) with black chrome. I liked that idea and kind of applied it here. Only chrome is the inside rear view mirror, the headlight bezels and the backup lights..All other "chrome" parts are black except the window molds and wipers. Exterior paint: Ford Toredor Red over black primer, Interior Paint: Ford Toredor Red and Primer Black. Wheels are Pegasus and painted same red color. Pics are a little dark. I just couldn't get the right sunlight shots. On with the pics. Comments Welcomed.
#1 model citizen Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 The black chrome goes well the dark red. Nice job!
DeeCee Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I like it, a bit different, but a great paint job sets it off nicely .
PARTSMARTY Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 That looks cool-I love the open wheels with this paint scheme-very cool !!!
Foxer Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 I really like the look ... the paint especially. It would be interesting to see in the sun.
Lunajammer Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Risky choices but I think it all worked out. I'm trying to decide if BMF will help it. Maybe on select parts.
espo Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 The paint finish is outstanding. What brand of paint did you use ?? That dark red with black trim makes a very nice contrast. I like how you detailed the dash board, a shame some of those things are hard to see on a finished model, but you know its done.
NY Modeler Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Love it all - the color, stance, everything!
geetee66 Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Looks mean and classy, simultaneously.Nice colour choice. I would never have thought about using black as a primer for a red. Great results!
DumpyDan Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Looks really good, nice idea...............Cool look
