bubbaman Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 where can i gwet that small chain i see on truck models ??
oldcarfan Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Hobby Lobby usually has some of it in their jewelry craft section. Michael's may have it as well. There's probably other places too, but that's where I got mine.
BigTallDad Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Model railroad products might also work.
bbowser Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 (edited) They also have a craft section at Walmart with various sizes of chain for jewelry making. Also JoAnn Fabrics if they have those near you. Edited February 19, 2017 by bbowser
Ramfins59 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Maybe your significant other has some old or broken necklaces laying around that could be useful..??

MeatMan Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Maybe your significant other has some old or broken necklaces laying around that could be useful..??My wife just handed me a chain today! I looked at it and it was the perfect size, with nice links. She earned a big kiss! By all means, check with your partner/spouse!
Art Anderson Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Model railroad products might also work.Campbell Scale Models has a very nice scale chain--links are about 1/16" diameter, blacked brass, for model railroadiers--makes great "safety chain" for pickup tailgates!Art
vintagedragcrazy Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 BNL resin has a tow chain kit with the chain and hooks I've had great luck with them great service and fast shipping l usually have my stuff in a week from them!vince
Fat Brian Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 I buy my chain at Michael's or Hobby Lobby in the jewelry section, they sell it in a few different sizes. Just be sure to get the kind with the links the correct shape.
Mike999 Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 Many companies make chains intended for 1/35 scale kits, including Trumpeter, Verlinden (photo-etched chains) and others. But since "chains is chains," they might work on 1/25 scale depending on the size you need. These Trumpeter chains look really good:
