Rocking Rodney Rat Posted March 4, 2017 Author Posted March 4, 2017 Simple basic ,but great build, love it ,especially the color of the rear rims, is that done with metalizers?Yes, I use the Testors Metallizers. http://www.testors.com/product-catalog/testors-brands/model-master/metalizer-lacquer-paint/sprays Titanium, Magnesium, Stainless Steel, Aluminum Plate along with Tamiya Silver Leaf. I like the subtle different shades each color has, it breaks up the monotony of painting everything 'silver'. A helpful hint on the metalizers, use the metalizer sealer overcoat otherwise the paint will rub off on your hands and make quite a mess. -RRR
'70 Grande Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 Wow! I really like this build! It has a great "look" to it, and your paintwork and build-quality are excellent! Give us some details on where you cut that station wagon body at to reduce the length! (I can't see any indications of how you did it; your seam-hiding skills are outstanding)!

Snake45 Posted March 4, 2017 Posted March 4, 2017 When I saw the thread title, I knew instantly what I was going to see. And my only question is, "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?????" Great idea, great execution! Drive on!
W-409 Posted March 7, 2017 Posted March 7, 2017 Wow that looks great! As an owner of 1:1 '62 Chevy II (Mine is a Two Door Sedan though) I really like to see these 1st Gen Chevy IIs or Novas built. Nice job with that body conversion and smooth paint job too. Overall I really like how it looks, but my only nitpick would be those turn signals on front... They don't turn to the sides like that as seen here: Otherwise an excellent looking build! Nice to see something different done from these kits!
Krazy Rick Posted March 9, 2017 Posted March 9, 2017 Great looking model you've created there - thanks !!
