vamach1 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I'm embarassed to say this is my first build of the AMT kit. It almost felt like building a 1/32 kit as it is pretty small compared to the Mustangs or GT40's that I usually build. Now that I have one under my belt I have a lot of catching up to do.
cobraman Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 It's a Cobra so I like it ! I still have the first AMT Cobra I built back in the 60's when the kit first came out.
espo Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Very nice looking build. You really don't realize just how small these cars were until you see a 1:1. Think of it as a Jenny Craig Miata.
Snake45 Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Very nice indeed! What's the paint? My guess is Model Master British Green. Did I get it?
olschoolkid Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Very nice, I've always been a big fan of the Cobra although I do need to build one. The only one I have is a snap tight I built when I was 7 or 8.

62rebel Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 This kit was probably the third or fourth I built as a kid; I got it from a cousin who had stopped building at the same time I started. It was molded in an almost translucent cream styrene, and I painted it lime gold Testors bottle paint with a brush.... those were the days. It's probably one of the best kits AMT ever produced; it goes together like a dream and looks good out of the box. Great job!
afx Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 (edited) What did you use for your Cobra emblems - Keith Mark's decals? Edited March 8, 2017 by afx
vamach1 Posted March 9, 2017 Author Posted March 9, 2017 What did you use for your Cobra emblems - Keith Mark's decals?Keith Marks for the gauges and Fred Cady for the emblems. The Marks decals are a lot smaller but the accurate size.
