mrknowetall Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 A recent finish, and one that I've thought about building for years! More to come later.
bbowser Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Nicely done! The wood stake bed looks outstanding. Where did you source the wheels & tires?
espo Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Great looking build. I have to know where you got the door decals. As a child my parents would ditch me in a summer camp every summer so I wouldn't be underfoot. It just so happens that I was sent to Camp Highlands on Plum Lake in Sayner Wisconsin. The great city of Sayner, at that time, consisted of a Bait and Tackle shop at the landing. Up the hill was the Fire Department and a grocery store that also sold tackle. A small restaurant and two Beer Bars. The town was so small they didn't even have a Stop Sign. A recent finish, and one that I've thought about building for years! More to come later.
mrknowetall Posted March 13, 2017 Author Posted March 13, 2017 Thanks! The decals came from Revell's '41 Chevy pickup, and rims came from their Ford dually kit. Tires are from their current Bronco kit (along with the seats).
Brett Barrow Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Nice! You use your new trigger airbrush on it?
6bblbird Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Very cool truck! Maybe some detailing or a wash on the wheels! Too clean!
Bernard Kron Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Glad to see you back, Mr. Banes - especially with another impeccable model!
bogger44 Posted March 17, 2017 Posted March 17, 2017 (edited) Very cool old Ford, nice work! I remember my Grandparents taking my brother and I when we were kids camping up at Razorback Lake, which just happens to be literally right next to Plum Lake. Some good times back then. mrknowetall Posted March 17, 2017 Author Posted March 17, 2017 Nice! You use your new trigger airbrush on it? I didn't, but fear not! I'll get around to the new airbrush soon enough.
