Antikainen Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Hello! This is my almost box stock club project. I tried to achieve some sixties mild custom touch into this one. An AMT kit with some minor modifications and detailing, Pegasus wheel / hubcap combo and tyres. Paint: tamiya, hand painted scallops, some extra BMF work to the top to achieve brushed steel look. Thanks for looking!
72 Charger Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Nice work I like the roof treatment very period look
TooOld Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Very cool ! Â Great scallops and the brushed roof looks perfect . Â Love the intakes in the hood !Â
espo Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I agree with Bob. You really captured the mid '50's look. The roof treatment is exceptional. Interesting hood treatment. I have seen several was to modify these styling items, but never like this. I have always thought that the style of scallops at that time really accentuated the basic body and trim lines. Â Â
RestoModGuy Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I like this! Very creative customization, well done!
Ace-Garageguy Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 I like it. Lots of subtle custom touches that make this stand out, too. Very nice overall.
Reuhkapelti Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 (edited) Wow I didn't notice those intakes in the hood earlier! Very cool idea. I might copy that someday... Edited March 15, 2017 by Reuhkapelti typo
Antikainen Posted March 16, 2017 Author Posted March 16, 2017 Thanks for comment. I wanted to try some new methods in painting and bmf work on this model and I wanted to build a 57 bel air with Buick grille insert so here it is.
