Tommy Isbister Posted April 5, 2017 Posted April 5, 2017 This is a 1/16 Bulldog I built to commemorate the brave men of Charlie company 196th LIB who fought in Twister Charlie Feb 1968 in the Heip Duc valley. I usually display the tank with an original issue 1968 helmet I have. You can read an excellent book on this battle called "Through The Valley" by James Humphies. Tommy
Dragline Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Wow That M 41 is awesome! Great tribute to men who went underappreciated for a great many years in this country. I have several Vietnam era war vets in my family, and they all came back in shall we say "Less" than ideal condition.Thanks.
Foxer Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 I was sitting with a 200 kilo-ton Nuclear Pershing Missile in some German woods on that date and respect all those over there! That's a professional job and gives honor where deserved. Coffee, cigs and paper ... what more do we need
Ace-Garageguy Posted April 10, 2017 Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) Coffee, cigs and paper ... what more do we needA clean M16, lots of full clips, and with any luck at all, the sound of a dustoff Huey coming in just over the treeline.Fine looking model, by the way, Edited April 10, 2017 by Ace-Garageguy
Apriliadan Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 That is a beautiful model.Might now be such a good day if some of those items were to get wet, just saying.
lordairgtar Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Very good model. Hats off to you guys who went through that. I'm 63 and I tried to enlist in the Navy (like my grandfather) but a ruptured ear drum prevented that.
