mrm Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 This finally got finished. 100% out of the box. One of the most challenging kits to build OOB I have ever dealt with.
tgabreu Posted May 29, 2017 Posted May 29, 2017 Very nice build of, as I recall, a rather quirky kit! I had all the Roth cars when I was a kid, and this one is at the top of the list!Tom
mrm Posted May 30, 2017 Author Posted May 30, 2017 Yes Tom, calling this kit quirky is an understatement. And tank you for the kind words.
Can-Con Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Hey, you got it done,, looks good. Did you get the bubble tinted on the first shot?
mrm Posted May 30, 2017 Author Posted May 30, 2017 Hey, you got it done,, looks good. Did you get the bubble tinted on the first shot? Hahahah....yes, I got it done on the first try. I could not afford a take two moment. It still made me super nervous. I don't think I would be attempting another Mysterion build anywhere in the near future
Bainford Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 This is freaking cool! Perhaps the tidiest build I've seen of this kit. Very well done.
Snake45 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Not my thing at all, but there's no denying you did a superb job with it! Well done and model on!
935k3 Posted May 30, 2017 Posted May 30, 2017 Great looking model. Do not fear Tamiya Clear it can easily be stripped using 91% Alcohol which will not hurt the plastic. For tinting using Future use food coloring to tint it. You can dip or spray it but haved learned to wipe it on using disposable cosmetic pads. Future can be strpped easily with straight ammonia which also will not hurt the plastic.

unclescott58 Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Very nice job on a tough to build kit. Of Big Daddy's stuff, its still my favorite of his designs. I built one from the tin box release a few years back. With a little care and patience it turned out great. Scott
mrm Posted June 1, 2017 Author Posted June 1, 2017 Thank you Scott. This one came from the tin can issue.
TooOld Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Beautifully done Michael ! And kudos on the tinted bubble top , it turned out great !
bobthehobbyguy Posted June 1, 2017 Posted June 1, 2017 Nicely done. Very clean. What were the issues you had building it? I have 8ne in my stash to build.
