BMW M3 E30 DTM

Getting started on the M3 E30 BMW kit from Beemax Models,  I will be using the Detail Up Set ( well most of it)  I am doing this as a combo old new BMW DTM build, but will focus on the old for this thread.




I put the roll cage together already.

Progress has been made, starting off with some primer, of the pink kind


And some paint, decanted Tamiya Bright Red and shot it through the A/B


Will be ending it there, I have since ( last week sometime) finished up 95% of the chassis, but no photo's yet.

What pink primer did you use? I've recently seen it advocated a lot for red bodies and have a countach on the bench...

I apologize, I meant to answer you, that is the body from the Revell Of Germany DTM kit from 2012/13.

Progress, its been slow, but some was made
Lets start with the brakes, P/E rotors, I did not paint them, its just the reflection of the paint from the middle part , Mr Hobby Burnt Iron on the calipers, and MM Metalizer Burnt metal on the inside, it says to mix gold and silver, I was lazy( ok, no, I tired mixing them but was not liking the color I was getting)

Seat installed, and some other bits installed, I decided I didnt want to mess with the P/E seatbelt hardware so I use the decals instead.

And now we have something that looks like a almost completed interior, I am waiting on the liquid mask to dry on the interior panels so I can finish painting them.

Back in business for the time being so body painted, polished out, decals started

The DTM came to both Silverstone and these cars in their day and Donnington about 10 years ago. Fabulous race series, but unable  to see here as it's on BT Sport  channel for mega bucks each month.
