landman Posted June 26, 2017 Author Posted June 26, 2017 (edited) Bit by bit it is taking shape. Modified the water pump, added the water manifold on the side of the head. Started on the oil cooler. Edited December 9, 2020 by landman
landman Posted June 26, 2017 Author Posted June 26, 2017 It is either an oil cooler or maybe an oil pump. The craftsmanship though is just amazing I cannot wait to see her done. If it was already discussed I'm sorry but have you decided on a body color yet?Thank you sir. I haven't decided on a body color. I thought dark blue metallic or dark cherry red . Although the pearl silver on the Tackaberry truck isn't bad either.
landman Posted June 27, 2017 Author Posted June 27, 2017 (edited) Thanks for the kind words guys. Played with the plumbing of the intercooler. Edited December 9, 2020 by landman

landman Posted June 27, 2017 Author Posted June 27, 2017 (edited) Looks great!! I'm taking notes!! I hope to build one myself one day. The line which goes to the water manifold at the top is more or less in the right place. The lower one I just guessed, it isn't visible in any of the photos I have. So don't put too muck stock in what I'm doing. Edited June 28, 2017 by landman
landman Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 (edited) Had to shorten the oil cooler . Fiddling around to set up the mounting of it. Edited December 9, 2020 by landman
landman Posted June 28, 2017 Author Posted June 28, 2017 (edited) Oil cooler is done. Added the plumbing. starting to look quite busy. Most of it just hanging there. It was a bit of a challenge to get it to stay together long enough to take the picture. On to the other side. Edited December 9, 2020 by landman

landman Posted June 29, 2017 Author Posted June 29, 2017 (edited) Thank you gentlemen. I am flattered. Today, the roofers were here so I couldn't do anything else. So I worked on the left side. Fuel filter, fuel pump, oil filler tube, dipstick and what looks like a vent pipe at the rear of the engine. Edited December 9, 2020 by landman

landman Posted June 30, 2017 Author Posted June 30, 2017 (edited) Making the hookups. the exhaust pipe from the Kenworth will work with very minor mods. This elbow will bring the air intake up then another one will bring it to the rear. The air filter will be either on the firewall or across the back of the engine lining up with the vent on the driver's side of the hood. Edited December 9, 2020 by landman
