Andy Wyatt Posted June 8, 2008 Posted June 8, 2008 Latest issue of the Revell kit. Built just to have something on the club table at NSRA Nats. Plastikote Autumn Maple (I think) over Duplicolor Driftwood metallic and Duplicolor clear. Kept the handles off, filled in where the bumpers would have been, used small LED lights from air conditioner remote controls for taillights. Kit engine wired and plumbed. Scratched a coil for the a/c and plumbed it...of course it can't be seen because I'm stupid. Thanks for looking!
randx0 Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 I like the colors really nice looking . are those rims from the kit? keep it up!
Raul_Perez Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 That's a very looking classy color combination!! Nice build!!
Daniel Peterson Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Built just to have something on the club table at NSRA Nats. I had to miss the show, but I am sure you guys had a blast. I guess missing you at club meetings is a necessary evil because of work, but I'm glad I got to see this latest build. It's gorgeous! And PERFECT for the club display...but tell me, did you consider entering it in the contest, too?

And PERFECT for the club display...but tell me, did you consider entering it in the contest, too? Yeah we had a blast...a blast furnace! Can't believe it was so hot...at least it was air conditioned where we were. I did enter it in the contest. I wasn't there all weekend, just Friday and to help tear down this afternoon. I don't know who won the awards...I think one Jack Bouman brought won NSRA Pick. are those rims from the kit? Yes, the new release has the larger rims and low profile tires as well as big and littles with Cragar type mags.
mhadman Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Man..I thought you were in a building hiatus and then this comes out of nowhere.. I love it...Perfect color combination.I am not even one much for 40's cars, but I would definitely tool around in this one... Excellent work! Now get to work on something else...like a half finished chevy truck...
mikelo Posted June 9, 2008 Posted June 9, 2008 Very nice & clean build. Nice color combo. It looks like I am building its evil twin. Mine looks very similar but with black on the bottom. I really like these kits. Great job! -Nice to see how those wheels look.
