ever wonder what happens when ya soak chrome parts in super clean??  I dunked a few parts in an empty baby food jar and watched the coating literally fizzle away in seconds  pretty neat !!

I stuck the grill on just for visual impact !

I still have to fix several areas were the lousy masking job allowed paint to seep under, but nothing a little elbow grease wont fix..like the paint edge  !

anyone have advice how to mask those thin pinstripes ? I suppose cutting narrow strips of tape and methodically masking them might work..but that'd take hrs!

while the cab dried, I sprayed the wheels polished aluminum alclad cause the kit chrome looked toy like  imo

any criticism or comments welcome !

I like the color choice. Even if the masking wasn't perfect, it still came out pretty decent. I hope to eventually be able to mask good enough to be able to make curves in the tape. I'm talking about the sleeper sides. Where it curves up, I have a hard time with that. Nice job overall.

I masked the stripes w auto pin stripe tape since cutting even stripes wasn't happening ! The tape is super flexible and thin, took several minutes to mask everything then uncover the blue area before painting. once I was happy with them , I sprayed several coats of clear to make it shine .

Jeff, I knew you could do it...this turned out real nice!

That came out nice. I really like it.

Thanks !! Going OOB was so relaxing , compared to my usual re engineering made this sooo much fun ! Figuring out the paint was a cool technique I will certainly use in the future.  I'll send this one over to the under glass forum once I can take better outside pics.
