Started building this one about a month ago. Did the basic body prep, and had to put it aside due to work issues.

What I had done was basically to fix the sink marks, a little flash, sand the mold lines, and also some corrections on the inscribed detail (or lack of).

The trunk shut line was way too shallow, so I deepened it almost all the way trough. This way I will have a nice panel line when the car is painted.

The panel lines I inscribed are the front fender separation lines from the cowl, and from the rockers. Also inscribed the separation lines from the quarter panels to the rear panel.

When I had to stop the build, I had the body parts in white primer just waiting for the color coats.

The car is going to be Colonial White and Fiesta red, bone stock, and mostly box stock.

Right now i'm masking the body to receive the Colonial White. After painted, will let it dry for at least a week, as it's cold now, and white enamel takes forever to dry fully. Can't risk messing up the white while masking for the red, specially in the door jamb area.

Always enjoy your Ford builds. Your extra effort on the panel lines will payoff when you're done. Is it going to be a Crown Victoria or a straight Victoria ?

Thanks guys.

It's going to be a Fairlane Victoria, sans Crown.

Just waiting a hotter day to shoot the white.

Foiled all badges and emblems that the white will cover.

Red and white is going to be sweet! You should paint her in MD. We are in a heat wave - it's been like 2 weeks now of 93+ no rain.

I agree Túlio, very nice prep. I know how much work you put into it because I have the same kit that I never finished.

Prefit all subassemblies because I found a lot of ill-fitting parts.

Thanks gentlemen.

This one will be my third. Built one in black, one with a hopped up engine, in light green, and now this one. Not an easy kit, that's for sure.

Ok gentlemen. Some updates.

I did the foiling on the emblems that will be under white paint soon. That was already done,

What I did today was to take the parts that will be red and white and mask them to receive the white.

Dis the corners and the doors with Tamiya tape, and the rest with regular masking tape.

All I need now is a hot day for starting to shoot white paint everywhere!!

Well gentlemen, I'm very sorry about the delay on this one. I forgot about keeping the WIP thread...

Well, that's the reason I don't have all that many WIPs.

The car is not ready yet, but it's close, so I'll post what i've being doing, so you guys are up to date.

I had a problem with the hood. I dropped it, and stepped on the thing while looking for it. yes, quite bad.

had to stole the hood from a unbuilt kit, and start again with it, and that took a while.

Will give the gearbox a second coat of steel.

The grille on this kit is a real PAIN to wash.

Hey, Tulio. I'm a newbie to building, or a re-newbie after about 50 years. The attention to detail you show is incredible to me. This thing is looking fantastic. Hope you don't mind a newbie type question. I noticed where you foiled the emblems, then painted the white. A few posts later I see that the emblems are bright and shiny again, but you didn't mention how you got the white paint off the emblems. How is that done?
