I took a look at Scalemates. There is a LOT of info available there. Maybe too much for me. It's pretty complex for a simple inventory of my stash. I'll probably just stick with my LibreOffice spreadsheet.

By the way, if anybody would like a sample copy of the spreadsheet I use, either in LibreOffice or Excel format, holler. I'd be happy to email a copy to anybody that wants it. I can ship it empty or with a couple lines of my inventory included that you can delete.

I would be happy to have yours too in excel format. Maybe with a couple cars still listed on it.

I like LibreOffice..that's what I've been using on my Mac since I got off Windows.

I also use a spreadsheet to keep tract of my collection.  In addition, I assign each kit a number.  Each kit or project then gets a build sheet where I write down the paints and materials used, parts sources and building tips in case I plan on building the same kit again.

After I finish a kit, I rip off the end of the box and make note of the paint I used.  All build info goes into a Word file called "model bios" that includes paint and any modifications made. Stash inventory is a different Word file.

That's a great idea, wish I'd thought of it 10 years ago :(.  I always feel a little guilty about throwing the box away but storage space is at a premium.
