mchook Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Cooter's 72 Chevy wrecker. I built the wrecker body & lots of other stuff. Let me know what you think, good or bad. 1
espo Posted September 23, 2017 Posted September 23, 2017 Very realistic looking bed and tow boom. I like his latest tow, how fitting.
1930fordpickup Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 Looks good. I like the wrecker body that you built.
disabled modeler Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I like it looks pretty dang cool to me.
DumpyDan Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 Looks real good to me, truck would look good in my show case.
mchook Posted September 26, 2017 Author Posted September 26, 2017 Looks real good to me, truck would look good in my show case. Thanks, it's for sale on ebay. I never keep what I build. I don't have the room to keep them & for me the fun & satisfying part is the build itself. And thanks to everyone for all the great comments.
Spex84 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 I love the subtle weathering--just enough to make it look like a working truck, without going overboard.
leafsprings Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 Excellent job. This is the tow truck MPC should have offered. An authentic period wrecker body with accurate 8 lug dually wheels. I believe the white and blue with red paint theme was actually used on tow trucks belonging to the National Automobile Club of Southern California. Cooters truck may very well been an ex NACSC bought by the studios.
