XX 70 maverick

Got a new promo to mess up. Supposed to be a 71. Looks like a 70. Not sure what I'm gonna do to this one.

I'm thinking just stock with some nice rims . polish the plastic.

Looks really clean. You just reminded me I've wanted to do a straight-axle "what if" gasser from one of those.

I used to manage an autozone in battle creek michigan. Thia guy came in with this maverick. He had a torino cobra jet and a tornado hit and dropped a tree across the midsection. It was all origibal and numbers matching. Haggerty cut him a big check and let him keep the remains of the torino. So he pulled the powerplant. Built it up and put it in it. One of my top 10 "met in real life" cars

I'm all for the gasser. Go for it.

Looks pretty good to me as it sits.

Paint the interior, polish the plastic, add a little foil & some detail paint & you'd have a nice model.

Only difference 70 to 71 was the ignition moving from the IP to the steering column.

Here's my 74 in progress with the wheels you sent.  Yes the top is incorrect, but it was a tribute to wife's first car, and it was 4 door.  She and her mother loved it.
