Chuck Most Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 This is the Gunze Sangyo kit, mostly tossed together out of the box aside from a lowered front end, and Fuchs wheels and tires from a Revell Beetle Cabriolet
Chuck Most Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 Thanks guys. I like it! Why are these kits so pricey?I didn't know they were- I think I paid 15 bucks for this, still sealed. Maybe rarity? I don't know why anybody would want to pay big bucks for this one when the much-superior Tamiya kit is out there.
Snake45 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Very nice! Looks like something you'd actually see on the road.
peekay Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Looks great and the colour is perfect for the car and period. I like the used-but-still-usable look.

To expand: There's a light blue '68-ish Beetle in the parking lot where I work that is patina-ed almost exactly like this--chipping/rust-ish/primer around the windows and other "sharp edges." It looks pretty cool, and this Ghia reminds me of it a great deal.
