unclescott58 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 I never understood why Tom Daniel's Ice T was painted yellow? So I painted mine instead with Testor's Ice Blue One Coat Lacquer. An ice truck should be of an ice cool color.

I have one in my stash and it probably won't be yellow now.
Snake45 Posted December 2, 2017 Posted December 2, 2017 Very nice! I think you got about all this cartoonish kit had to offer. Don't think I've ever seen a better looking one.

Slotto Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Great idea! I never even thought of another color than yellow.
unclescott58 Posted December 5, 2017 Author Posted December 5, 2017 Again, thank for all of the nice comments, guys. I'm glad you guys like my take on this subject.

Jim N Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I just saw one of these in a magazine that was yellow. Your color choice is much better. Great job!

No. Shot it straight out of the can. With no primer coat. It worked great. I'm not a big fan of Testor's regular paint. I stay as far away their enamel spray paint. I mainly use Tamiya lacquer. But, I've had very good luck Testor's One Coat Lacquer too.
shoopdog Posted December 11, 2017 Posted December 11, 2017 Thanks for the info, I do like the Testors One Coat, thinking about painting my Ice T some sort of pearl white or whatever the white One Coat is.
