It's a bit daunting, at first. Knowing that if you place it incorrectly, you won't get a second chance.

However, as the mask is sort of transparent, lining it up with reference points, such as the hood centre and edges, is actually quite easy.

I think I might have to tape some edges and tidy up a couple of places with the airbrush.

 I was considering brushing on some of the lilac, to cover the purple overspray, but I think masking and spraying will probably be a better idea.

 I would recommend these masks. 

So much easier than making your own.

 I gave everything a clearcoat, last night. I'm well pleased with the results.

 The paint now looks sparkly and the particles are nice and small.

I've not had a lot of bench time, recently. Long days at work.

Finally got the interior completed .

 I added a PE horn ring and replaced the kit's column stalks, with wire. Epoxy blobs on the end of the wire have been painted dark purple, like the wheel rim, seats and door panels.

These old Chevies have awesome interiors. I love the details.

No Greg, I forgot in all the excitement. 

That's the other thing I learned about using these masks.

1: apply to a polished surface, for better adhesion.

2: spray a light coat of either clear, or the base colour, to prevent bleed-under, before you spray the actual flame colour(s).

Beautiful paint work! The interior looks great - back in the day something like this, if it was going to be on the show circuit, might have had white pearl tuck-and-roll with maybe some purple metalflake naugahyde trim to boot! Love your interior treatment!

Great looking interior. I like all of the gauge and trim detailing. Others have suggested Pin Striping and that doesn't sound like something you are wanting to do, but should you change your mind you might look at the decals in the '50 Olds Custom kit. The decal sheet has several Pin Striping decals including some with a combination of the colors white and a color that would match well with the colors on your '55. I think it looks fine either way.
