  1. Try Splash Paints! www.spash-paints.com
  2. Hey Brian, If you are wanting to achieve more realistic look, alclad is a better option but if you'd like durability, Splash metalizers will do the job. Sam
  3. Awesome color! Would be little bit careful with splash paints over tamiya primer.
  4. Golly! That makes me want to build one too!
  5. How did you apply the carbon to the rear bits? It looks great.
  6. We are working on some F1 colors for new release shoot me an email.
  7. WOW! Just noticed that color! Seemed familiar I can't wait to see the color!
  8. it's a big one piece PVC back drop. Nothing fancy. The LED Units themselves seems like a cheap module with adjustable brightness.
  9. Peter, I got it off Amazon but I can't quite remember how much it was but it was cheaper than most others. came with 4 or 3 different back drops.
  10. Hi guys, It's Sam from Splash Paints and wanted to help you guys on how to apply the FORD GTLM colors so you don't have to figure it out. The 2016 FORD GTLM Colors worked brilliant over first application of Frozen White. Frozen White > (Red or Blue) > (Blue or Red) The 2018 version however, needs little more detail. As shown in the picture, same procedure has been taken as the 2016 version but due to the White base (Frozen White), it came out little brighter than expected. So I will advise before spraying the Red and Blue, Nardo Grey, or Beluga Black must be sprayed for darker tone of Blue and Red for more accuracy. If not, you may want to spray little more layers of the tint coat to make them darker but it will take much longer without spraying grey or black base. Super fine flakes are hard to capture through the camera! Please excuse the trash in the clear. No paint for babies! Anyways, if you have any more questions, please feel free to ask here! Hope this helped for those who purchased the paint! God bless,
  11. Changing the clear ratio basically.
  12. Hi MCM Members, I was wondering if anyone was able to make the LED lights instead of the basic halogen lights. Any help will be appreciated!
  13. We have had some big flakes on certain colors on previous releases. (Metallic colors) But all the new releases from here and onward will have scale correct ultra fine flakes.
  14. Gotta spread the love! Thanks, Jon, let me know if you are down for the deal I offered awhile ago.
  15. Probably not for general release but the custom color will be available for a very reasonable price of $12.99 for 2 oz with no minimum order requirement.
  16. We will have a lot coming within next month!! Hopefully it is enough and we will be offering awesome custom paint solutions that can be shipped off in 1-2 days depending on the order size.
  17. Hi Chris! We now only offer priority mail because of the unrestricted amount of shipping supply we can use to protect the paints! Because of recent damages with our packages via first class (even with a lot of bubble wraps), They were arriving with damages so we are going fully with priority mail. We do not have months of fulfillment time like other do, priority mail will be worth your money. As far as the paint goes, any paints that are $6.99 requires a bit more precision when spraying. They can't be sprayed wet from the first coat so something I would recommend you do is spraying light coats always on primer and be very patient with them. Usually, 4-5 passes should be able to cover the body fairly well. but once you have 2-3 coats down, you can apply a bit heavier by slowing your hand down rather than adjusting the needle. I hope this helped!
  18. That makes more sense. 25% margin is pretty hard to work with.
