IJ001's thread gave me a hankering for a Miura. I see Entex, Italeri and Hasegawa among others. I'm looking for a kit with an engine. Which is most recommended.

Hasegawa is the only choice, the others are ancient and either curbside or motorized.  Hasegawa's doesn't have an engine in the sense that you could transplant it into something else, but you do get all 4 outside block dimensions and top half that molded into the top of engine compartment with separate intake pieces.

The Hasegawa is a "semi-curbside" kit. The engine cover is molded closed, but there is reasonable engine detail there to work with. The engine isn't really visible anyway under the louvers. The overall detail and proportions are fantastic, though, and way better than anything released before. Maybe bashing the Hasegawa kit with a Fujimi Enthusiast Countach LP400 would be the best way to go for a fully-detailed engine bay?

If it makes a difference, the Italeri is the early version with the 'eyelash' headlights. The rear body section needs some reworking on it-too squared off. Hadn't thought about trying to adapt the early Countach engine. That quickly turns it into an expensive project.

I bought this old toy Miura cheap a couple years ago. Figger with a paint job and some good wheels/tires it'll look cool on the shelf for about no money and little more work.

Now, what color. Any suggestions? What do these look good in?
